Engine part ID

I have a 1963 R1 Avanti.  Can anyone ID this part for me.  I can’t seem to figure out what it is from the parts catalog.   I need to replace the green wire (mice chewed though it).  The wire goes to the ignition coil on the other end.  And as you can see the wire isn’t attached with a nut but pushes on with with the L shaped ending which is attached to the end of the wire.  Is that kind of attachment standard?  I’ve never seen anything like it before.

That's the starter solenoid.  It's an easily found part...many Fords used it during that time.  You can get one at NAPA, Pep Boys and most local places.

While the engine is cranking that green wire delivers full battery voltage to the coil to boost voltage.  The normal coil voltage is stepped down through a resistor so the points and coil last longer.
