mfg Posted February 25, 2015 Report Share Posted February 25, 2015 Several years ago, a good friend of mine purchased a beautiful, low mileage silver 1980 Avanti ll...The car was PERFECT.....Except it came equipped with an 85 MPH speedo which he didn't care for, so he purchased a 160 version directly from Avanti Motors and had it installed. No one driving then listened to big brother and held the speeds down during that time. I wonder how many speedos were pegged and broken from extreme excess of the 85 top end.
