Many insist the inside of the scoop area were body color and many insist it was blacked out. It's certainly possible it could have been done both ways, depending when it was assembled and painted or whether it was a Molded Fiberglass assembled and painted body or a Studebaker built and painted one. Many original photos are inconclusive as body color and lighting can be tricky. Cars in advertising were often original prototypes and may not represent actual production details in some respects or received special attention prior to being photographed.
