BillCA63R1 Posted February 26, 2013 Report Share Posted February 26, 2013 The split rubber "gaiter" that prevents debris from falling into the slot where the "PRND21" selector lever travels has fallen apart and needs to be replaced. I just got back from the "Stude" meet in York, PA and Jon Meyer never heard of one, I have never seen one or heard of one and the parts book never called for one so........I would guess that "someone" just put one in there. BillCA63R1 Posted March 4, 2013 Author Report Share Posted March 4, 2013 I phoned Dan and he too said that the automatic selectors never had a protective "boot", so I guess what I found on my Avanti was indeed someone's 'one off' and now it is OFF!
