brad Posted November 8, 2010 Report Share Posted November 8, 2010 I have for sale some R3 ForgedTrue pistons and also good R3 valves. The pistons were new when the engine was rebuilt last (with standard size) and then never completed or run. It(the engine(and car)) sat for a good 20+ years and rust siezed the engine. It was soaked for a couple of months with MMO and freed-up. The walls were pitted to the point of needing .010 overbore. Anyways these pistons show light corrosion pits and very light skirt scratches where it was dissasembled past the corroded cylinder walls. I gaurantee this will not affect operation in any way. I lightly scrubbed them with a scotch-brite ans solvent and then lightly buffed on jewelers equipment. They look very good but I cant use them in an overbored R3.
