Could be, but there was a factory recommended "fix" for existing loose stems Any idea what that was?

In 1963, what was the cost of a bottle of Avanti Turquoise touch up paint at your local dealer's Parts Department?
-
Credit for the name “Avanti” goes to what person or group?

What was the factory recommended fix for a loose inside rear view mirror?

New York City could be viewed from at least six different modes of transportation that incorporated Loewy design elements. Name the modes of transportation.

How much more than the 1990 2 door coupe did the 1990 4 door touring sedan weigh?

Sorry Dennis. We got a new supply of DVDs in stock and I updated the website to make the item for sale.
Thanks, Lew.

How soon do you need to know?
Well, Eddy, what don't you understand about the word "today" as used in my request for more information. Your boorishness is wearing a little thin with quite a few readers who visit this forum for enjoyment, not to be mocked or challenged by you. I've asked you off forum to talk to me about why you rudely respond to me as you do, but you refuse to answer.
Here's my trivia question. What's your point?
-
Loewy was standing beside his silver Avanti, a 1972 model, with both in front of an Air France Concorde jet. The photo is on the front side of the "Looking Back to the Future" DVD that the AOAI is selling through Avanti Magazine and the AOAI website.
When I checked the web site, it says the "Looking Back ToThe Future" DVD is NOT available. Status?

Lots of good points made in the posts above.
Same few people responding
No need to "rain" trivia, a question or two a day is fine
Timely answers or verification of an answer
Others should offer their trivia questions
Reference source for answer
Perhaps if one answers a question correctly, he/she is a knowledgable Avanti owner and should post a question. That would bring a little a little variety and widen the scope rather than having most of the trivia coming from one source. Although it's been said that the trivia has increased interest in the site in general, I haven't noticed any big changes in the amount of message input in the other sub forums. For the most part, the trivia questions don't tend to spark much conversation. A few have, but most haven't.

I'll let you know in two weeks.
Eddy, I know you enjoy being a control freak with Dapy, but would you let me know today?
-
I'd like to see answers referenced with a source. Facts in isolation can be fun, but facts that lead to more information create knowledge. As for unanswered questions, the originator should either answer them after a reasonable tine, say a week, or move on. Bumping them back to the top of the list is wasted effort.

Those races at the Palm Springs airport brought out quite a few Hollywood drivers. Clark Gable raced there often. I'm not surprised that RL was in the crowd.

Saturn spoilers were installed by Avanti owners. But, if caught in heavy traffic as the question poses, they wouldn't be very effective and aux electric fans would be a better solution in that instance. Not much moving air in heavy traffic.

'Off topic'.........but I think psdenno, dapy, and mfg would make for an awesome team of judges at International Avanti events!
Couldn't agree with you more! I haven't judged an annual International Avanti meet since the 70s, but wouldn't hesitate to do it again. Especially with such a congenial team. Great fun.

I enjoy the trivia...no one knows everything and I've found information I believed was accurate was in fact not.
Whether one looks at it as a game or not is immaterial to me and I don't think of it as a competition of who gets the right answer first. I look at it as sharing facts and learning more about our favorite car.
It might be helpful to cite the source of the "correct" answers given to the trivia questions as an added tool for doing more reading about the Avanti. Facts in isolation are fun, but in some cases I'd like to know more and therefore go to the source for a little more digging.

Eddy, Eddy, Eddy. You seem to have lost sight of what the Avanti Forum is all about and have become more interested in always having the last word. It's probably just a matter of time until a moderator benches us both. That's why I earlier suggested that we take this conversation off-forum. I'm sure you'll have some snarky response to this post, but would hope you'll eventually learn to play well with others.

Always nice to hear your positive comments!.....Watch for my PM on April 1st,....We'll celebrate what MUST BE your birthday!...Cheers!!
I rest my case.
-
Only if you feel that it's trivial!
Obviously he doesn't or he would have posted it in the Trivia section. Eddy, your level of self importance is a joy to watch. BTW, still waiting for you to contact me off line to discuss the points I mentioned in another post. Ready when you are.
-
It's just that you come across 'wet behind the ears'!
There you go again, Eddy, jumping to conclusions. This is probably a conversation best held off-forum. Feel free to PM me and I'll be happy to bring you up to speed on forum etiquette and any Avanti topics you'd like to discuss.
-
Really nothing secret about this stuff!.....Stick around awhile and you'll catch on!
Eddy, Eddy, Eddy, there you go jumping to a conclusion. In this case the wrong conclusion. I didn't say the answer to your trivia question was a secret. I only suggested that the answer probably wasn't widely known and that the pool of folks familiar with the answer was small. Relax. Don't get your knickers in a knot. This is a game and, like you, I'm in it for the long haul.
-
Eddy, that would probably be because there's a difference between trivial information and esoteric information.
-
Lew, I thought you would be the one to know the answer. Perfect answer. Nothing has changed with the house in many years. It looks shabby and the yard has been left to take care of itself.
Dennis.

Not according to the 1990 Press Kit which includes the four door, the two door coupe, and the convertible. There are other sources who say all three models existed in the 1990 model year, even though only the four doors seem to have left the factory.
