Are you shopping for a R2 or selling one? I am an eBay believer. Over 30 old cars bought and sold there. Four were Avantis as is my latest.

I am not clear about the car discussed here. Did it sell at eBay? Another R2 (white) is at BaT with a few days to go. Appears mechanically OK, but paint is a question. My guess is that it will sell reasonably for an R2.
I am still looking for AOAI members in the Houston area. AOAI staff have not been helpful.

I investigated upgrading the 305 in my '82. People here who sell rebuilt 350 and 400 and crate suggested I first look at tuning and carburation in the 305. I did that and improvement was satisfying.
While I have a free ride here I'm looking for AOAI Houston members for fun and games. So far no joy.

For sale Avantis are picking up steam. Unfortunately multiple choices depress prices. BaT, if you make their cut, does a better job of supporting prices by enabling participant comment. These discussions hold interest. Auction is similar to eBay with more pics/information. If you are looking for $25K+ you are more likely to get it there.
