Steve, I'd say R4849 is at least a $40K car...and frankly I'd no doubt have to sell my current cars to 'comfortably' purchase it! However, I first saw that Avanti around 1968-9 when it had only 7,000 miles on it....It was beautiful then and, in my opinion, really hasn't changed much!....Take care, Ed

PS...Back in 1990,when I restored my own '63 Avanti (63R1379), I copied the 'look' of R4849 as closely as I could remember!

So Dick could get a similar price. Isn’t that stored in a museum? Do you know the family?
