The hood on my 2006 doesn't sit right. It rests on the windshield washer nozzles, which stick up about 1/4 inch too high. Anyone else have this problem and/or a solution? Thanks.

We've got our 2006 insured (as a 2005 Ford) through Grundy Worldwide. The insured value is basically what we still owe on the car, so it's less than what it's worth. I think that the retail value that you've estimated for your car seems about right.

We finally just sent Bok a check for the 2 that she said she had (plus some for shipping), but she's yet to cash the check or responded to any subsequent calls or emails. If I can get a good jpg file for the logo, maybe I can have them made here in Denver.

I've been trying to purchase these from Bok, but she has not answered any of my recent emails or phone messages on both her cell or business phone. She said that she only had 2 left and was not making them any more. It's extremely frustrating when a business or person will not have the courtesy to reply to a message.

Don't know if it's true, but it's logical. Ours is the ...4013, which was built by AMC in 10/06 from a mustang that was built in 4/05.

I'm missing the medallion on the steering wheel of my 2006 coupe. That size should work. The original one was just glued onto the Mustang badge - is there an easy way to take off the Mustang badge and glue on the Avanti one?

Dave, I'm looking to ship a 2006 Avanti (which Donkle may not want to do) from Arizona to Denver in an enclosed trailer. At this point I'll probably go with either Pegs or Intercity. Thanks again for the feedback.

I finally got around to looking at this post. The serial numbers and vins on this Avanti version is certainly confusing. My Avanti vin ends in 013, and the vin label has it as a 2005 Avanti. It also says that it was made in Oct 2006. John Drake, the cars original owner said that it was a 2006, which is what I tell people, and that it was the prototype for the Mustang-based cars. Could it be that it was the first one, but that final assembly/sale wasn't done until 2006?? I just don't know what to believe or what to tell people.
As far as the original question, when I brought it to a Ford dealer for the airbag recall, they didn't say that they had any problems fixing it.
