I am moving from California to Texas and have several cars to ship and at this point limited room. The car is a 73 that I purchased as a project car. The body is good, never damaged. The frame and hog troughs are good. Dash is bad. Car ran ok but has not been driven for quite a few years. I am looking to get about $2500 for it. You can contact me at DLsys73@gmail.com or 408-209-8874 (you can also send text).

In my continued search for the 2000s cars, I located the only 2 T-Top cars that were produced with the Diamond Pearl White colors. There is a 2001 in Dallas Tx with 45,000 miles on it and I met with the owner last year to see this beautiful car. Now, I have made contact with the second car, a 2002 model which is in Bakersfield CA. The owner, who is now an elderly female, wants to sell due to age. The car is in immaculate condition with 15,000 original miles. It has been garaged its entire life and covered in the garage. She does start the car once a month and takes it on a cruise around town just to keep everything working.

She has not been proactive in selling the car, so I offered to help her with this as much as possible. She knows how rare the car is (9 T-Tops were made) and she believes the car is worth north of $50k. Serious potential buyers are welcome to contact me and I'll work on connecting you with her. Attached are what the car looks like.

I just saw this posting from early December 2025 in craigslist that the Rodger Ward Avanti is available again. Might this be a scam listing? I know it recently sold, and that someties vehicles are quickly flipped. Considering the history behind this car, I would think that it would be offered for sale in a different forum than craigslist.

I have a 1989 Avanti Convertible that I rescued a few months back. Its original owner was Mickey Dolenz, the drummer of the band "The Monkeys" and includes a signed picture of the car when new. It was the second to the last Convertible made in the 80's with signatures of the assemblers on the back seat bottom. It pasted through 2 other owners and ended up with the grandson of Tom Larner, a big time Avanti Owner. It was driven regularly and has 139,000 miles on it. I have gone through the entire car to be sure everything is working correctly, had new upholstery installed on the front seat and cleaned up/treated the rest of the interior. The front end has been repainted to remove all paint damage. Tires, wheels, exhaust are all new. No Leaks. Consigned to Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio, Tx

1963 Studebaker Avanti R2 4 speed. One of only 1,833 examples produced for the 1963 and 1964 model years with a Paxton-supercharged R2 289ci V8 - and one of only 643 units that are reported to have paired the R2 powerplant with a four-speed manual transmission. The car had an engine out repaint in factory correct Avanti Red in 2024 and the seats were redone with new padding and new black vinyl covers. Front and rear bumpers were rechromed as well. Other work done under current ownership involved replacement of the engine mounts, rear main seal, engine gaskets, belts, heater hoses, battery, fuel pump, flywheel, clutch, throw-out bearing, brake master cylinder, control-arm bushings, and new bias ply Firestone tires from Coker Tires. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, power- assisted front disc brakes, power steering, Avanti wheel covers, dual chrome exterior mirrors, a push button AM radio, floor mats, and a Beauty Vanity. This R2 is now offered with a copy of the Passenger Car Production Order, an owner's manual, service records from current and prior ownership, and a clean Ohio title in the seller's name. Price reduced to $72,500.<a class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image" data-extension="core_Attachment" Take a look in the AOAI Magazine Issue #211, Page 79 to see a photo and advert of Eric Johnson's 2003 Avanti Convertible for sale.

Eric's car is low mileage and really sharp. I had contact with Eric about his car last year. He can share many great photos with you if you are interested.

If I had not purchased my black 2002 car then I would have gone after Eric's car. It's worth a look.

Randy Bohanon is selling a 1963 Avanti R2 automatic he recently had restored at NW Avanti. I saw the car in 2024 just after the restoration was finished. It's a beautiful car. Turquoise over turquoise.

Extremely low mileage, (under 10K) refurbished after long term storage. Excellent car, well sorted. White, tan leather Recaro's. New from radiator to reconditioned gas tank. Excellent torque boxes and frame as you would expect on this low mileage car. Working Moonroof that seals tight. All options, sold new by West Palm Beach Rolls Royce Dealer. Paperwork from new. New repro Halibrands and Halibrand speinners from Dan Booth. New tires. Lots of videos and pictures. ECM removed by previous owner, now sporting small cam, performance intake and Holley carb. Selling to finish my 1953 Studebaker Starliner Hardtop. One of the two must go. I'd rather keep the Avanti and if it doesn't sell and the '53 gets done that will be the one to go down the road.
