  2. I did one Avanti that someone installed a 62 Lark grille directly in front of the radiator. It bolted to the core support, and was basically flush right in front of the radiator and offered good protection.

  6. Let me know in case you have any question! Paul
  7. Hello Dwight, Some pictures of the engine-bay, wrong booster, bracket from SA, and mounted head brake cylinder from SI. Please note: booster and bracket are looking new, but are repainted.
  8. The BCA 203FF sealed ball bearing plays a critical role in supercharged Studebaker Avantis….. Where is it located on/in the car?

    Avanti Rims!

Studebaker ‘borrowed’ the inner chromed headlamp rims, found inside the outer glass lens of their ‘round light’ Avantis from the ……?…… 1) 1960 Lark…..2) 1958 Packard Hawk…..3) 1949 Commander…..or……4) 1954 ‘R’ series Pickup Truck
  10. I used black window screening held in place with wire ties looped through factory unused holes in the radiator core support… Not too pretty, but basically invisible, and it does give good protection to the (now quite expensive) radiator core!
  11. I agree with the black for the grille. Lots of options for materials out there.
  12. It seems that bleeding of the brakes is a regular problem and multiple people have posted about not having proper pedal height. No one yet has suggested using a pressure bleeder, when I worked as a mechanic thats how we did all the cars, never bench bleeded ever, never had an issue ever. It is not to difficult to make one. Good luck Guy
  13. What mfg said X 2
  14. Thanks, I should get it soon then. Pb
  15. Hi Peter… I received issue #211 a couple weeks ago.

  17. Hello everyone. Just a query, I haven't received an Avanti mag for a while. The last one I got was issue 210, is that the latest one ? Thank Peter
  18. Yes I made up a ‘radiator protector’… as you describe… for my own ‘grill less’ ‘63.
  19. You make up two (if tandem) steel tubes that screw onto master cylinder outlets… you place open end of tubes into master cylinder (full of fluid… tubes submerged) and pump cylinder until you see no more air bubbles.
  20. Yesterday
  21. How do you bench bleed the master cylinder? Wouldn't the fluid leak out the bottom? I've rebuilt a bunch of these and never did that.
  22. Hope this helps. If you need whole colored wire pdf. I can send you by email.
  23. I've always thought Avantis look better without a grille. But, to protect the radiator, some kind of near-invisible grille is needed. It should be flat black, of low restriction, and just in front of the radiator. I'll have to fashion one for my '63 project Avanti, which came to me without one. -- Dwight
  24. No holes and no grille. 3 options - try and find a factory grille, build a grille, or leave it out.
  25. Sent you a PM
