The Bendix Dunlop disc brake system, used on Studebaker Avantis and Avanti ll's through 1983, was originally designed to stop vehicles with under ....?..... lbs. gross weight.

1) 3200.......2) 3500.......3) 3800.......or.......4) 4000

I'll say #1, since that is around the weight of the Jag Mark II. (However, I think the Jag C-type race cars were significantly less in weight and I believe they used the Dunlop disc brakes even earlier.)

I'll guess 3) 3800 lbs, which would be the early published curb weight of 3100 lbs plus 700 lbs for occupants, cargo, and gas.

Good thought, however, 3800 lbs. isn't the answer.:(
