Supercharger for 63 R2

Recommended Posts

Looking for a supercharger for my 63 R2.  Was swapped out years ago for AC.  Would like to get it back to original.  Also looking to add power steering.  I am soon to be 68 and that manual steering is getting difficult.

Do you also need to find the supercharger mounting bracket.

These are very difficult to find.

FWIW, I've got a supercharger rebuilt by Nimesh Solanki to high output specs, new orange paint, never installed.  $1250 + shipping.

Thank you for the info.  I am just looking right now as I am not going to install until winter is gone.  I still have to remove the AC. Don't know if there are any brackets remaining of the original supercharger.

Jack, do you still have this supercharger?

Supercharger is still available.  I don't have the stock brackets, as it was going to be used with a custom race bracket.

First of all do you still have the supercharger? I need whatever brackets are required and everything else from the blower to the carb.  Since it was all removed prior to my ownership and fitted with A/C I don't know what is required.

One thing nice about Studebaker Avanti "R" engines is that whether they are factory supercharged or not, the crankshaft pulley remains the same.

(At least you don't have to chase after that part!:D)
