ron@crall.com Posted July 13, 2015 Report Share Posted July 13, 2015 Back to MFG's question, Paxton did make a "Competition" blower. The one in 63R-1025 was painted black instead of orange. Never thought much about it, lots of stuff in that car was not typical. The impeller exploded one day, thankfully none of the shrapnel made it to the cylinders. I called Paxton to get a rebuild price and shipped it to them. They called back and advised my quote was no good because I had a "competition" blower. If I wanted it repaired it would cost more. That said, there were multiple pulley options, bigger crank or smaller blower that could change the output, and there was a different blower also available.
