Ones with York compressors take close to 3 lbs. If you do a R134 conversion, usually I start about 1 lb 10 oz. Then check the gauges, and vent temps.

Hello Brad, I just checked my compressor and it is made by  EVERCO INDUSTRIES... never heard of that brand.

Anyway, thanks for the info, my buddy is an A/C tech and he said it probably takes about 3 to 4 lbs. of freon, so now I have a good idea about the capacity.
