I believe by that time Avanti Motors was installing front mounting stereos that you can buy at any auto sound shop, Best Buy and Wal Mart. It's going to be far more cost effective to simply buy and install a new stereo...plus a new one will likely be of better quality as well.

Have to agree with G-Slinger. My '88 has a Sony that pulls right out (with 2 special small puller devices that came with the radio/car). A new radio will have CD and an 'auxillary' jack to plug-in digital music devices.

I understand what you're saying. But what I want to do is keep my baby as original as possible. That's why I want a replacement. Thanks!
